Yes again, he did the same thing two years ago in 2007 citing fatigue as he did this year. It is the same in golf and I don't think its right for a Federer to pull out this late. The tournaments and fans have banked on him being there. They have invested in him. I think players should have to honor commitments to tournaments unless for verified medical reasons (not fatigue). The stakes are too high and they make too much to not have to require the commitment be met. Just my thoughts. Del Porto played well but not at the caliber of Federer or Nadal.

“Coming in here after being off for a month, you want to find out where your form’s at, you want to get a bunch of matches in,” Roddick said. “I feel I’m on the right path toward the Open.” Roddick stated.

I really like Roddick but he doesn't have the stomach or determination to defeat a Federer or Nadal. Roger Federer's wife just gave birth to twin girls. It was pretty much kept a secret that she was having twins, which immediately makes me think of fertility drugs. I am curious if they are twins or fraternal (I think that is what you call non identitcal twins).

Congrats to them both and I am happy to hear everyone is healthy.

From Roger's Website: Roger Federer and his wife Mirka, proudly announce the birth of twin daughters, Charlene Riva and Myla Rose, who were born Thursday night, July 23rd in Switzerland. "This is the greatest day of our lives. Mirka, Myla and Charlene are all healthy and doing very well."

Roddick To Play at Legg Mason

Roddick made the announcement viat Twitter that he will be playing in Washington at the Legg Mason event.
